Aren't you convinced that he carries the genes of invaders & colonizers, as son of italian sonia gandhi?

BANGALORE: “I fully support padayatra. I am happy that you are taking on the BJP at the ground level. The more you do so, especially at the grassroots level, sooner you will get rid of the BJP,” are the words of appreciation and advice given by AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi during his brief interaction with party functionaries at KPCC office on Saturday. The scion of the Nehru-Gandhi family also extended support to such agitations and prevailed on party leaders to fight till the BJP government is rooted out. “My concern is that this (padayatra) should not stop till the BJP government goes.”Not just this, the young Gandhi also offered to help the state Congress unit to “remove” the BJP government.“I am always there to help you in removing the BJP government. Let me know how I can be a resistance. Whatever support you need (in removing the BJP government), I am there to help you. Let me know about this (help),” he said to the thunderous applause of the Congress leaders.Taking time out of his tight schedule, Rahul visited the Congress office and took just four questions, including one on the illegal mining in Bellary, from former Minister Allum Veerabhadrappa and Rajya Sabha member Anil Lad. “I am confident that if you carry on this path (padayatra), you’ll succeed,” Rahul replied.During the interaction, the state leaders gave a memorandum to Rahul, detailing the ‘failures’ of the BJP government and the problems confronting the state. Former Union civil aviation minister CM Ibrahim also drew his attention to the illegal mining for which Rahul said that he was “more than willing to help the state unit in fighting against the BJP government.”

But I don't Wanna go to Europe!!!?

So here is the issue - When my wife was fresh out of high school she had the opportunity to go on this Choir Tour. The Tour group went on this 3 week journey where they traveled to England,France,Germany,Switzerland,Luxem… and then fly home out of Brussels. She had great fun and made lots of memories. Now her sister is at the same age and she is going on the same choir tour. My wife singed us up to go on the same trip as chaperons. On the one hand I am excited to have the opportunity to visit all these places. My mother-in-law is paying for my ticket too. So it's a "free" once in a lifetime trip, but I am apprehensive about the trip.

- First, I am not very excited about the traveling around in a bus full of High School Seniors and Grads.

- Second, I just got laid off at work when my company was bought out by a competitor.I am not really looking forward to being the job interview and saying "Oh and in July - I am going to need 3 weeks off".

- Finally, I know this sounds kinda pathetic, but I have Two dogs. One is a 7 year old Pomeranian and the other is 15 year old teeny pom that weighs four pounds. My mother-in-law gets offended if I suggest that she does not watch my dogs while I go on this trip. I worry mostly about the senior dog. I worry about the other one too because she is one a diet and my mother-in-law thinks people/animals who try to lose weight are ill or something.( I have told her to please not give her table scraps and she said that my vet was a jerk and then continued to feed my dog.) My main concern with the senior dog is his age. He does not eat his food as well when we go on short 1 week vacations, and I would hate for his kidneys to shut down while we are away or something like that. He has a collapsing trachea that we have been controlling with Robitussin. I worry that the MIL would not give him his medicine when he needs it.

And then with both dogs there is my biggest worry...... The PUG. My mother-in-law has a rather chubby little 1 and half year old pug. They don't exercise it very much and she spends most of her time in the kennel. When they let the pug out she runs around like she is on fire. This would not bother me too much, but there has been little to no discipline for this devil dog. As a result she runs around nipping, biting, and jumping on and around whatever she can whenever she is out. Her oly discipline when she is like this is "grab her and put her back in the kennel". I have given this dog a chance and I have decided that - I hate this dog. As much as I hate the pug - MY dogs hate it 100 times more. I worry that this little demon will, at the very worst, hurt my one of my dogs while they are gone. At the very least, seriously make them more depressed. The last time we had my little yoda pom in the same room as the pug they got into a fight. My mother-in-law is one of those hobbit lookin people who can't touch their toes without making a grunting noise and I worry if she will be able to reach down and stop a fight should one occur.

What should I do? Stop worrying? See if I can get outta this trip? What would you do?

Answer on But I don't Wanna go to Europe!!!?

If you decide to go, simply put yur 2 dogs in a reliable kennel...with your vet, if he boards dogs. Tell your MIL your dogs will be going to the kennel...then do not discuss it any further. If you get a good job possiblity...then that nixes the trip. tell your wife you cannot go on the trip , that the new job takes priority. Be kind, but firm, and encourage her to go ahead. Do not discuss it with your MIL..your new job would be more important...period. Stand up, be kind but firm, or prepare to be subject to the whims and domination of MIL for ever.

My wife is a Peruvian Citizen, she is a U. S. Permanate resident. I want to take her to Rome, Italy, Spain?

Does she need a visa? To visit these countries , including France?

Answer on My wife is a Peruvian Citizen, she is a U.S. Permanate resident. I want to take her to Rome, Italy, Spain?

Yes, she will need a visa. Peru is not among the visa exempt countries, the Green Card has no relevance in Europe. If you want to visit two or more Schengen States, please apply at the Embassy of the country which is your main destination (defined by the length of stay). If you intend to visit two or more Schengen States but you have no main destination, you need to apply for your visa at the Embassy of the country which you intend to visit first. The application must be made at the Embassy or a Consulate General which covers your U.S. state of residence.

What do american people think about Mr. Marchionne?

I am talking about the way he is leading Chrysler and Fiat Group.

Maybe he saved many jobs in the US, but in Italy Fiat workers are pretty worried about the future of a company that, at the moment, do not seem to have a clear plan for the years to come.

This guy pays most of his taxes in Switzerland (He lives in the Zug area where the tax percentage is pretty low, but he works in Italy...)

Well, I am curious to know what is your opinion...

Many thanks:-)

Answer on What do american people think about Mr.Marchionne?

If u want, we can talk 'bout taxes

If u want, we can't talk 'bout management

But I think we have to decide whether we have to discuss 'bout taxes or 'bout management

'cause I think there's no connection between the fact he's living in the Zug area and the fact he's CEO of the Fiat Group

Ok, apart from this issue, I think he is doing his job well (better than Romiti). He is paid for being a CEO, not a trade unionist

So Landini is the big problem. This man should work for a clear plan for the years to come. And he shouldn't always say no to everything. Well, saying no is the same as not colloborating for a company's future, for workers' future

I heard Landini talking. And it was really embarrassing when he talked 'bout production's issues. well, he didn't know anything about what a dude should do in order to improve the production system in Fiat. And this is for a dude who wants to solve workers' problems something wrong. You don't know what is production and you want to solve problems. Well, it's unbelievable

If u want to talk 'bout trade unions in America, let's discuss 'bout it

UAW trade unionist talked about what Marchionne was doing in Chrysler and he's a fan of Sergio Marchionne, Chrysler’s new CEO

http://www.egmcartech.com/2010/04/15/uaw…

so, what's the matter?

Marchionne wants to enforce the two companies that have two different production systems and wants to have co-branding solutions. In order to have similar production systems he has to develop some new solutions for the two brands. The solutions are cost deployment, ergo uas and toyota lean production (toyota lean production is a big issue for Italian production standards). If u look at Yamashina (he's a Taiichi Ohno's fellow), Fiat's big troubles are the cost deployment and production level. In order to have wcm standards, Mr Marchionne has to attack the big failures in Italian production plants, Well, this typical failures are that ones which are really not big issues in such big worldwide companies as Volkswagen. If he wants to have 106% production plant utilization, he has to have production standards like in other car production plants all over the world and to reduce costs in production's issues

On the other hand when u merge companies, u have to decide where it will be your registered office. It's hardly impossible to say whether you have it in Italy or in America when you have to work hard in order to homogenize chrysler's and fiat's production systems and to integrate Chrysler into Fiat's production system (we have to work side by side in order to have goals), in order to have some co-branding solutions for the meanwhile (this for reducing production costs), in order to find car floor solutions (Fiat and Chrysler in some production plants in Italy....this was well described in fiat's business plan.

If u want we can talk 'bout merging problems

http://www.articlesbase.com/automotive-a…

http://www.slideshare.net/trozanski/daim…

http://jurisonline.in/2008/11/failure-me…

So:

If u r a worker, u r a worker

If u r a manager, u r a manager

In Italy the workers want to be like manager. But they don't know anything 'bout what a manager should do.

bye!!

Planning a Trip to Italy?

I am a High School Senior who would like to take a 2 month vacation in Italy during the summer, i have $15,000 budget on this, would that be enough, i would like to travel to Rome, Venice, Florence, and the Vatican City? I know barely any of the language, is there any places to learn the language for those like me in Italy while im there?

Answer on Planning a Trip to Italy?

Your budget is more than you should need for a two month trip. You'll be able to stay in some nice hotels rather than all hostels if you choose and to eat very well. You'll also be able to get out and explore much more than just Rome, Florence and Venice in that period. Vatican City is completely surrounded by Rome. There are a lot of possible day trips from any of these places depending on your interests. From Rome, you might consider Tivoli, Orvieto, or Naples (Pompeii, Capri &/or the Amalfi Coast). With the time you have, you could be in the Naples area for several days. From Florence: Pisa & Lucca, San Gimignano, Voltera, Siena, the Chianti region & hill towns. From Venice: Treviso, Padova, Verona/Garda Lake, Ferrara, or Vicenza. There are lots of other possibilities.

Even the small city I live in has a language school. You shouldn't have any problem finding something that meets your needs as long as you aren't moving around too much. I would recommend that you start now looking forward to your trip with something like Rosetta Stone. Actually, you'll be able to get around many places here (particularly the tourist areas) in English. Learning the language is a great idea though - it will enhance your experience.

Where and when did the renaissance start and end?

I know that the renaissance started in Italy but where does it end and what is the time period ?

Answer on Where and when did the renaissance start and end?

The Renaissance In Italy, especially central and northern Italy, the Renaissance had started by 1350. It didn't extend to Northern Europe till perhaps 1480. Nowadays, many historians talk about 'the extended Renaissance period' meaning about 1400 to 1700.Renaissance happened between the centuries 14 and 17 in Italy at the beginning and then Europe. It affected the lives of millions and changed the way people were thinking.

do you think will we ever have riot in us just like in Iran, France, Italy and England over government corruption and budget cuts?? if yes, when do you think will happen???

Answer on Riot in America??????

I wouldn't call what happened in Iran as a riot. I would call it an uprising/revolt against the government. And if they don't get their crap together, than yes.

5 page research paper on the Dome of the Florence Cathedral?

I need to write a 5 page research paper on the Dome of the Florence Cathedral. I'm not sure how to do it. I don't think that just talking about the dome will get me 5 pages. I was thinking about adding in paragraphs about what it was like in Florence, Italy when it was built, some brief biography on the architect and stuff like that. Is that a bad thing to do in a research paper? Could you please give me a simple outline or just some advice on how to go about doing this?

Thanks!

Americas: Overall third place behind Brazil and argentina

Most succesful team against Brazil since the 90's.

Everythings Really good except for world cup where we always choke. So rating out of 5 for mexico( last 15 years )

4.5 out of 5

Other 4.5 out of 5 teams

Portugal

URuguay

5 star teams:

Brazil

italy

France

Holland

Germany

england

Spain

Argentina

THats my opinion on the ratings of teams and mexico

Answer on Mexico a soon to be power house?

I still keep of dreaming of Mexico doing something really good at the world stage during the World Cup. Yet I see the records going the other way and I am sorry to list them. Every WC they lose we get lame excuses and fault on the other side. Isn't it high time, that if Mexico and Netherlands as good as they are get to the top and win a title.

FYI -

Mexico has the highest number of games lost in WC by any team. They have played in 14 WCs, with 49 matches played, winning 12, draw 13 and lost a record number of 24. With almost 50% losses, I do not see how an NT team can get a title. So the reality is, will they do it in the next WC 2014. I keep my fingers crossed and keep my hopes low.

First time flying internationally: I'm a US citizen flying to Rome, what questions do you get asked at customs?

What is the customs/border patrol like in airports? What kinds of questions do they ask, both in the US and in Italy?

Answer on First time flying internationally: I'm a US citizen flying to Rome, what questions do you get asked at customs?

No, it's not nerve-wracking, especially if you smile and cooperate.

99% of the time, upon arrival, they just look at your passport and maybe, maybe ask your name ("Miss Smith? Please proceed past the blue line."). They may ask the purpose of your visit, how long you'll be in Italy, and whether you are travelling with anyone.

If you're a prick, remember that they are supposed to grill x out of every y travellers, and they will give you the chance to enjoy the third degree. This may be as simple as asking you to confirm the information on your passport, or you may get really lucky and be asked to step to the side for further discussion (i.e. strip search with body cavity check if you're a real jerk).

The U.S. kinda sucks. When you check-in for departure at the airlines counter, they will need to see real picture I.D. (passport, driver's license, something more than a student I.D.). The airlines personnel will ask if you packed your luggage and whether your luggage has been out of your sight since you packed it. They will ask if anyone has given you anything to carry with you, especially wrapped packages. Please answer honestly.

They will give you a boarding pass. You will present the boarding pass to the TSA agents when you pass-through the metal detectors. Don't make jokes, don't mouth off, don't argue; they can make your life miserable, or at least delay you for the longest ten minutes you've ever endured outside a dentist's office.

One thing I'm seeing a lot lately with women is body jewelry. I've seen several friends escorted into boothes to examine the piercings below the ears.

The George Clooney movie, "Up In the Air" shows all this, in humourous detail.

What will weather be like in early March in Italy?

Answer on What will weather be like in early March in Italy?

It depends on what part of Italy. The North is mild and clam in March. But it is not humid like in the summer. The South, I do not know as much about but I think it is fairly hot. That early though it may be OK. I know that the North is beautiful that time though! Especially Venice! :)

My friend said that Zheng He sailed to Italy and started the renaissance, Is this true?

I have a hard time believing b/c

1st: Didn't the renaissance begin before the 1400's

2nd: How come we never hear any Italian accounts of these enormous ships and chinese fleet reaching china.

3rd: Are there any accounts of Confucianism written down/translated into latin at the time?

Answer on My friend said that Zheng He sailed to Italy and started the renaissance, Is this true?

Zheng He never visited Europe. He travelled the Pacific and Indian Oceans.

Should I Travel in Greece or Italy?

I am traveling to europe this summer and I can't decide on where to end my trip. Here are my options:

I can take a train around Italy from Rome, to Florence (and visit Pisa and Cinque Terra) then a train to Venice. This all would cost about 75 euros.

OR

I can fly over to athens and then fly over to Mykonos (greek island) and hang there for a little bit then hang out in athens for a couple days. this costs about 400 euros.

I guess it comes down to price, but I heard a lot of good things about Greece. Please help me decide! :)

Answer on Should I Travel in Greece or Italy?

Italy is a beautiful country full of beautiful buildings. If you mainly want to sight-see, Italy has more to offer.

If you want a true summer experience..... sun, sea, nightlife, atmosphere, Greece is the better choice.

Oh, and the food is much better in Greece.....with bigger portions. Even the pasta and pizza is better in Greece. lol true.
