Hello, I'm planning a tour from Mexico to Europe, starting in London and so on. If everything goes well, it'll be during February. I know the weather variates a lot from place to place, but I'd really apreciate if you can tell me about the weather in london, france, amsterdam, or/and italy... also some tips for clothing.
I have already investigated them. But i think it'd be more rewarding if some of you tell me about it, than having Farenheit grades and humidity levels.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the bad english =)
Answer on Weather in london and europe?
England, Netherlands (Amsterdam) and Northern France will have cold weather, with temperatures around freezing and often rain or even snow. Think about the temperature of a fridge most of the time, but it can still dip down to the temperature of a freezer.
Italy and the south of France will likely be a little warmer but rain is still likely.
With the rain there is often a strong cold wind.
If you are from Mexico and not from a mountainous area it is likely you have never experienced weather as cold as this, so prepare well.
Bring an extra layer for under your clothes, leggings or long johns under your trousers for under your jeans, a warm layer for under your coat and make sure you have a good wind and waterproof coat.
If you have not yet booked your travels, you should consider traveling a little later in the year, May will be much milder and likely less wet.
By the way, your English is way better than that of many native speakers.

Answer on Italian tourist in adelaide :D what i have to do?
1) The average temperature in September in Adelaide is about 20 degrees Celsius. It's the very start of Spring, so sunny most days, with a bit of a breeze and quite chilly at night.
2) The city of Adelaide is very interesting. You could go shopping in Rundle Mall, go to the Central Markets to eat and look around. You should also go to Glenelg. It is one of our main beaches and has quite a few attractions. It is a very laid back atmosphere with nice places to eat. Also, go on a day trip to Victor Harbor, and see the sights there.
3) There is lots of different food, from Asian to Italian, Sushi to Pasta. You can find pretty much anything. There are lots of nice Italian restaurants in the City and at North Adelaide, and you can get food from most cultures at the Central Market. Our food courts are pretty good too, lots of different types of food, and many different types of Takeaway. You can get healthy or less healthy food, depending on what you prefer.
4) You mean soccer? Lots of people do follow it, you just have to ask around and find out!
Have Fun!

How do I check on a business located in Italy to find out if it is legit?
I applied for a job in the graphic arts field online and recieved an answer from a company in Italy, (Global Design Creative Group). I want to find out if it is a legitamate company or if it is a scam. They are asking me to set up a bank account to deal with their clients in the US.
Answer on How do I check on a business located in Italy to find out if it is legit?
don't do it, no one would need a bank account until they had to pay you and only then when you'd done some work. If you want to waste your money you can send it to me.

Why are people in Italy racist?
I am white and my wife is black, we also have a 2 year old girl. I am in the army and stationed over here in Vicenza. People always say ciao bella (hi beautiful) to my daughter, but give my wife dirty looks. Is it because she is black or is it because we are an interracial couple? It is more of the elderly too. How do I say "what are you looking at" in italian.
Answer on Why are people in Italy racist?
they probably feel she is beneath you and them
Vicenza is much more a provincial place in a way than say other parts of Italy you could be
yes more elderly are against interracial relationships everywhere
you will have to learn to ignore them (yes I am sorry to say) mostly
i hated this too when i dated outside my race but you have to hold a beautiful thing inside you and not let these people anger you and learn to ignore them
the alternative is more pent up anger (you don't need this in your career) and health problems and possibly other issues
thank you for serving our country and good luck to you, your wife, and your daughter

If I am a naturalized Italian citizen and want to study at a university in the uk do i have to live see below?
3 years in Italy for the EU tuition?
Answer on If I am a naturalized Italian citizen and want to study at a university in the uk do i have to live see below?
You do not have to live in Italy three years to be eligible for EU tuition. The requirement is that you reside anywhere in the European Union for three years prior to the first day of the academic year.
Your Italian passport allows you to travel freely throughout the EU including the UK. You can take up residence in any EU country you want as long as you are employed, going to university, or have enough money not to access public funds.

Is it difficult to land a job with HSBC? How are their pays?
How difficult is it, considering I have a bachelor's degree from italy, I'm italian but fluent in English? What are the pays there?
thanks!
Answer on Is it difficult to land a job with HSBC? How are their pays?
It depends on what you want to do. If you're just looking for a teller position, I wouldn't have thought that it would be that hard, given the quality of the staff currently working there!
If you're looking for more of a head office position, then I'm sure it will be reasonably competitive, but the fact that you're fluent in another language will set you apart from English graduates. You should find vacancies advertised on their website.

Is football equivalent to a religion in Italy?
Is football more popular there than it is in Britain?
Answer on Is football equivalent to a religion in Italy?
Possibly. It's just lived differently.
In UK fans fill stadiums, would follow the team anywhere whatever the weather, would go broke to reniew their season ticket and their kids kits, hardcore fans would neglet their wife and kids or just bring them along (dont compromise).
In Italy is not quite like that, the passion is not actually shown. stadiums are empty, people dont buy the kits (scarfs will do) and being italy more family orientated than uk, men opt to spend their sundays differently.
In italy is a social problem. Thugs and young people, alienated in the society, use the stands to let themselves out with flares, fights, racist runts and missiles.
There is also more pressure and stress around it. Everyone is result orientated and waste more time discussing controversies than actually enjoying the good of it and accept peacefully the verdict of the pitch, as they tend to do in UK.
All italian expats in UK said the same things (Vialli, Zola, Di Matteo...): there is less pressure, people enjoy the game, people respect you.

How much is an average lunch in Italy/Spain?
I'll be going next week and I have to buy lunch for myself..
I don't eat a ton, and I won't be eating at restaurants really.. so how much is lunch, eg. slice of pizza and a drink? about?
Im going to Venice Florence Pisa Genoa and Barcelona
Answer on How much is an average lunch in Italy/Spain?
It depends a lot on what you buy and where you buy it here in Italy. You can generally find a panino, tramezzino or pizza by the slice for around 4 to 6 euro. A whole pizza is 8 to 13 euro. In Venice, there's a place in Campo San Stefano where you can get bruschetta for 8 euro. One note - if you sit in one of the Grand Caffes in Piazza San Marco in Venice, just an espresso can cost as much as 8 euro. You're charged a cover charge (coperto), service and if the musicians are playing there's a charge for that. It's nice, but just be aware of what it will cost. You can also get a bowl of Ribollita in Florence for about 8 euro. There are a lot of places between the Duomo and the Palazzo Vecchio where you can get panini, salads or other things reasonably. For pasta and a drink, you can count on around 10 to 15 euro.
Generally, it's cheaper to eat away from the immediate area of the tourist attractions, but you don't have to go far.
Just for reference, a medium McMenu meal at McDonalds goes for around 7 to 8 euro.

Can i apply for study visas for italy and sweden at the same time. Is this possible?
i have applied for sweden visa which is still under process.now i have got scholarship from a university in italy.now i want to apply for study visa for italy.i will take my passport back from sweden embassy and will apply for italy visa,But I am afraid that doing this would harm my visa at both countries. So please suggest some solution for this problem.
Answer on Can i apply for study visas for italy and sweden at the same time.Is this possible?
Contact (call or visit) both embassies and inquire:
1. Italian Embassy:
- what is the process and documents required to get a student visa
- whether a Shengen Student Visa from Sweden would be acceptable. This crucial information will determine your next steps.
2. Swedish Embassy:
ask how long the visa processing takes, and when you can get your passport back, as you are planning to travel to other countries.
Congrats on your scholarship and best wishes!

Where are the best cities to travel to in Northern Italy for 18 year olds?
We're looking for a city with beautiful scenery and great night life in Northern Italy, some where above Florence. This is our last summer before college and we are want to leave with a great experience and a good time. We have a tight budget, so we need to keep things in a moderate price range. thanks a lot!
Answer on Where are the best cities to travel to in Northern Italy for 18 year olds?
I'd avoid big cities like Milan or Turin 'cause I heard that in summer they empy, are hot and become quite boring. Most of the college students that move to the north to study, go back home to the south in summer. This happens where I live too: students go home and the locals move to the coast during the weekend.
If by "scenary" you mean beaches, I suggest you Tuscany and Liguria. Viareggio, in Tuscany is where you can have lots of fun 'cause it's full of discotheques, pubs, bars, restaurants. And it's on the water. It's excellent for shopping too. Just in case. Livorno and surroundings may be a good option too. Altough it's quite stabby during the day, it becomes extremely lively at night. It's on the water too and it's very very clean, and beautiful. there are rocks all over the coast. I love it. Of course you'll need a car to move around. It's still in Tuscany which is well known all over the world for its scenary. So if you get bored and don't want to go to the beach, you can visit San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa, Lucca, Florence and many others. If you are more into lakes and mountains, I suggets you Garda lake ( north of Italy ) and surrounding such as Verona or Mantova ( my favorite ). I heard that the southern part of the lake is the most lively one. Desenzano, Limone, to name a few.
Have fun here :)

What food did the rich eat in Verona, Italy in the 1560s?
I have to write a gossip column on the party scene in Romeo and Juliet for English. I've tried google and yahoo but nothing came up on what the wealthy ate during the 1560s for a party. Does anyone know or have a website where there is information about it?
Answer on What food did the rich eat in Verona, Italy in the 1560s?
Hey! you are just lucky, i'm from Venice and i have studied history so i can tell you that on the 1500 started the great cuisine, they introduced from the new continents (america, india, china) potatoes, rice, corn, asparagous, spinach, and finally tomatoes. They start also to introduce some alchoolic beverages as called "cordiali" made from alchool, sugar and aromas they use to eat lots of hunted birds like pigeons, but also ducks and wild geese...lots lots of meat! they started to add even some sauces like maionese, or spicy sauces made from pickles. At the end of every meal they drank tea, coffee and of course hot chocolade.
I have some sites but they are just in italian, i guess won't be so helpful! but i send you some

The best way to see Italy is by train. By car is nice too because you get to see many of the smaller towns but driving is terrible. If you do drive, DO NOT DRIVE IN NAPLES!. Naples is nice, I lived there a year, but its dirty and the driving is the worst I have seen in the world. Generally speaking, the farther north you go in Italy, the cooler the weather, the cleaner it get and the more Germanic the influence. The further south you go, the more North African influences you see, it gets hotter and the life style is more laid back.
Dont miss other travel opportunities you get by visiting Italy. There are ferries to Greece, Malta, Libya and loads of other locations.
Crime is common in Italy but not violent crime. Petty theft, pick pocketing and purse snatch is a problem. Make sure you get travel insurance and carry travelers checks and keep your passport and credit cards safe. It can be a good idea to make copies of them and keep them in a secure location. I emailed scanned copies and emailed them to a secure person where I could refer to if they were lost or stolen.
Its also wise to check with the US State Departments travel warning just before you go. The site contains various details of travel, medical and security issues that affect US citizens in the country.
The State Dep site can be found at:

These are all just precautions and I am sure you will have a safe and fantastic time in Italy. I loved it there and wish I were going with you.
I forgot to mention the seasons. Italy is very hot and dry in the summer and it can be uncomfortable to travel. The best seasons are probably April-May and September-October. You still have reasonably warm weather, you beat the tourist rush and low season makes hotels and travel cheaper.

I've never heard of it.
My favorite coffee shop is Tazza d'Oro. They are right by the Pantheon. They speak English and know everything about coffee. They can point you in the right direction - but if not, you'll have a new favorite.

Why do countries like Germany and Italy negotiate with terrorists? Has negotiation been proven to work?

Giving terrorists what they want just encourages more terrorism, and results in more violence, and more innocent people hurt or killed. The best way to deal with terrorists is to hunt them down and stop them before thay have a chance to do it again to someone else.
