A couple of trip ?'s!!!?

okay, im saving up for a trip to italy or france. so, i wanna include 6-7 people minimum in this trip (the count includes me) and then all the airplane min. costs for each person. then the hotel..and the sightviewings and stuff. then the restaurants and food. we/i plan on going for about a week. can someone please please PLZ help me by telling me the max. total cost?? thanks!!

oh, one last thing- which one do you like better/prefer, italy or france? thnaks again to all!!

Answer on A couple of trip ?'s!!!?

One quick way to get a rough cost estimation for your On the Road Expenses is to multiply the number of days of your trip by US$65. If you want to provide a "safety net" in your budget, multiply the number of days of your trip by $75 or 10% of your total budget.

Sixth Form still open to enrol?

I'm moving to England by this year. Are there some sixth form colleges (it doesn't matter the city) where i can be still accepted? Can you tell me any name of a college that is still ready to enrol me? Thank you.

So much love

*I know its late, but im moving by this year, so i need to go to school!! I need your help beacause i live in Italy so it's not easy for me to make search.

Answer on Sixth Form still open to enrol?

Doesn't work like that.

you need to be resident for 6 form education, so need a home / place to live first.

choose a town with several schools and then you will have a variety of course options. local colleges also offer A levels though often with a restricted number.

the later i the year the harder for you to start a course. Act now or you wuill have to wait until next year.

What are the similarities of the fascist rise to power in Germany and in Italy?

I need to know the similarities on how the fascists rose to power in Italy and how they rose to power in Germany (who helped them, did they use legitimate government channels/procedures, what circumstances provide them a base of support, what problems were there with the existing government, etc.).

Answer on What are the similarities of the fascist rise to power in Germany and in Italy?

Both Hitler and Mussolini were similar with their dictatorship with different principles.

-Hitler's principle was the cultural and biological superiority of the Arian peoples

-Mussolini's was a more of a nationalism based on remembering Rome's glory.

Both leaders eventually ended up controlling and running a totalitarian state along with the force of a secret police, terrorizing the people, and executions.

Both countries made it a priority to industrialize its economy

With the use of their absolute power over Germany and Italy, the formed a strong alliance all sharing the same goal for mobilizing the nation.

NCL Cruise - Adriatic tour - shore excursions?

We will be traveling by NCL - Gem to Izmir, Croatia, Greece and Italy. Please advise:

- the shore excursions seems very expensive

- is it wiser to travel on our own? how far it is safe? what are the advantages and disadvantages?

- do you have any suggestions?

- we had been to Athens and Venice already.

- are we allowed to stay in the ship if we doesn't want to take the shore excursions?

- do we have to carry our passport and other valuables where ever we go? is it safe? or safes are available in the ship? is it safe to leave our doc and money in the safe?

I appreciate your help and advise.

Answer on NCL Cruise - Adriatic tour - shore excursions?

All your answer can be gotten a lot better at cruisecritic.com. Just join up(it's free), then go to boards, roll call, then Norwegian cruise lines, and finally the name of the ship. There you can get dozens of tips on shore excursions and how to save a ton of money without booking them through the cruise company. BTW, yes you can stay on the ship and skip any excursions you choose. Also while in a port, the price of spa treatments usually goes way down, so this would be a perfect time to pamper yourself.

Which wineries are a must see in Northern Italy?

Answer on Which wineries are a must see in Northern Italy?

In Piedmont you might want to check out Ceretto, Marcarini and Gaja. In the Tre Venezie (if you like interesting white wine) try Steverjan, Jermann, Abbazia di Rosazzo (producers famous for Friulian whites). In the Trentino-Alto Adige check out J. Hofstatter, and Zeni. And finally, in Veneto try Maculan and Allegrini. If you're visiting Tuscany there are just too many great ones to name.

Answer on How much will it cost PER DAY for me to travel in europe?

If you are under 26, staying in hostels, being careful with buying food and not spending a lot on sightseeing, you can manage with €60 per day.

Your travel costs would come on top of that.

As person under 26 you can get cheaper train or coach tickets, but you will still have to pay much if you want to do a lot of traveling.

Count on €25 to €100 per travel, depending on the distance and when you buy your tickets.

If you are over 26, €100 per day and €35 to €150 per travel at least.

Can anyone identify this spider?

Its body is over an inch long, black or dark brown, with yellow stripes and yellow 'feet'. My daughter climbed into a little concrete bunker on a road-side in Italy last week and immediately screamed to be helped back out having come face-to-face with one. How close a call was it? Thanks.

Answer on Can anyone identify this spider?

Sorry, but it really isn't possible to tell from the description you gave, not that it was a bad description. The problem is that that could descripe many different spiders. I'm personally not very familier with spiders from Italy anyways. But you might try getting a field guide at a library or going online and looking at random pictures. If you could post a picture of what it looked like, it would help, but even then it is not possible to identify it without a doubt (you have to look at the reproductive organs for that).

As to how dangerous it was, it is unlikely that it was to bad. All spiders do have venom (well, there is one family of spiders that is an exception to that, but it's pretty rare, so yeah). Anyways, most spiders will not bite unless they have to, because venom is costly to make. Even if they do bite, the chances that it is deadly is very low. Most spiders (alergic reactions out of the picture) have venom about as bad as a bee sting. But like I said, there is no way to be sure from the description.

Oh, and the answer above mine gave the type I would guess if I had to, but it is just a guess.

Advice on how to get a flat stomach in less than 3 months?

ive recently found out that im going to italy in july and wanted to lose weight and get a flat stomach before that time :)

i dont really want to starve myself

and im still at school so i dont have much time to join a gym or swim every day...

my mum says that if i suck in my stomach constantly and hold it then the muscles start to tone

does this really work?

anyway i would like at home exercises and meal ideas which could help speed up this process

thanks!

:]

Answer on Advice on how to get a flat stomach in less than 3 months?

Good for you for not trying a fad diet to lose the weight - exercise and toning will get the flat stomach you want. Losing weight by starving yourself won't look attractive anyway, just bony and disproportionate.

What your mum said will tone your stomach, yes, but also try

sits ups or crunches regularly and 'the plank', which is:

Lie face down on mat resting on the forearms, palms flat on the floor.

2. Push off the floor, raising up onto toes and resting on the elbows.

3. Keep your back flat, in a straight line from head to heels.

4. Tilt your pelvis and contract your abdominals to prevent your rear end from sticking up in the air.

5. Hold for 20 to 60 seconds, lower and repeat for 3-5 reps.

Be careful not to overdo it though, or you'll pull the muscles in your stomach which hurts!!

Meal ideas - just eat a normal, healthy diet.

:D

Anyone have a good website of how to plan my trip to italy next month also train tickets info and cheap hotel

I need any tips that would help me plan my vacation regarding

citys tours attraction,Hotels,Transportation, food, or things that you wished you knew before you went there.

Also I would like to go to Greece for couple days what is the best way to go and from which city is easier

Answer on Anyone have a good website of how to plan my trip to italy next month also train tickets info and cheap hotel

There are several airline websites you can use for cheaper airfare such as www.smartertravel.com, just remember not to wait too long to get tickets as the price does go up the later you wait..

For accomodations, try using hostels instead of hotels... they can be more run down than a regular hotel but it is alot cheaper than staying at a name hotel...

As to train tickets try www.RailEurope.com... they have packages ranging from a ceartin number of countries within 15 days to one country for a week... just depends on what u need Have fun

How do you send a FAX to ITALY (from the US)?

What numbers do I dial first?

The number they gave me is:

fax 02.21887250

Thank you!

Answer on How do you send a FAX to ITALY (from the US)?

I do not live in the United States. I live in Europe. When I want

to send a fax, I go to the nearest Postal Office; or (local) Phone

company. I do not detain a device for sending faxes, at home.

Alternatives: you can send a fax using your PC. (If you have only

a printed version of the document to be sent, then you must use

a scanner plus an OCR software, in order to "digitise" your

document, before sending it.)

Or, you can visit the following URL: http://www.efax.com

No fax machine, or fax modem is required. Just choose a local

number and use any computer to send and receive faxes by

email. You can try their service, for thirty days, free!

If you already have access to a fax machine, then, the first numbers

you must enter are those allocated to Italy's country code--which

is 39. So you must dial: 011-39-02.21887250.

I hope that the above informations will be useful to you.

What else can I add to my speech?

I am writing a speech about how Italy, Austria Hungary, Turkey and Serbia created tension between 1878 and the start of the first world war. I have written about the Three Emperors League, The Dual Alliance, Triple Alliance, Turco - Italian war, and the two Balkan wars.

I was just wondering, is there anything else I could add, because I have to talk for 8 minutes, and I doubt that I have enough stuff!

Thank you!

Answer on What else can I add to my speech?

Make sure you mention the entangling alliances all of the countries were in. So once 2 countries were at war, everyone was at war, just like falling dominoes.

If you consult a history textbook, or even some history websites on WWI, you should find plenty to talk about for more than 8 minutes.

How much would it cost to go to Italy?

I am hoping to hit Rome and then travel around a few more cities for about two weeks in the summer. Can anyone give me an estimate on how much this is going to cost me? I was thinking around $5000 to $6000...

I would like to know your opinions and input... especially from those who have traveled to Italy before. Thanks!

...and if you guys don't mind, it'd be nice if I can have a way to get in touch...to hear about your experiences in Italy. Then, I will have a better idea on what to expect.

This is my first time planning something like this :)

Can Karate America charge a cancellation fee when moving on military orders?

Wife got orders to Italy.

Wondering if anyone knows where it states in the SCRA that a company cannot charge cancellation fees?

Answer on Can Karate America charge a cancellation fee when moving on military orders?

More than likely yes since most civialian businesseses do not put in military clauses like apartments do around military bases but check or ask for your contract/paper work you/him/her/it/whatever signed when joining. Or just talk to them nicely and see if they will wave the fee.

Is an ISIC card worth it?

I am going abroad to Italy in the fall and want to know if purchasing an ISIC card is REALLY worth it??

or it is more like an Triple AAA card.. where there are discounts but no one ever actually uses them..

Travelers like Rick Steves and others recommend obtaining one... but they're not students who already have college ID.. which will "likely suffice"

What is your opinion?

I'd like to hear from people who ACTUALLY BOUGHT one.. *Also, I dont intend on traveling outside of Europe.. so Australia & Asia need not reply...

THANKS!!!

Answer on Is an ISIC card worth it?

i had it in the past, and traveled between belgium-france-holland and believe me or not, even tho they said they accepted them in some clubs/bars when i wanted to use it i couldn't! so i found it not worth it! my friend had euro<26 and she used it in the UK with no problems. with euro 26 it's ok as it gives you additional insurance though.

How much money will I need for a 2 week holiday in Italy in August? Also is it easy to camp?

Answer on How much money will I need for a 2 week holiday in Italy in August? Also is it easy to camp?

There are many campsites in Italy, but August is in the main holiday period, and what I hear from friend who holiday that way, the best places on the nice campsites book out about 9 months ahead.

I think you will still be able to find reasonable sites now, but do not wait till June with booking, unless you want to travel round with a tiny shelter tent and stay just one night per campsite, for that kind of camping there are different prebooking times. (I guess that phoning in the day before might be enough in most cases but as I have not done it, I am not sure.)

For money, if you plan on a cheap campsite, bringing your own tent, and being careful with your money, count on at least €50 per person per day, more if you want to eat out and play the tourist (up to €150 per person per day if you go luxurious and have a big trailer home with you.)

If you have never camped before, walk into your nearest travel agency and see if they have some brochures on camping with the rent of a tent or trailer that is already set up for you on the campsite. That will take the difficult parts out of the travel and let you enjoy the experience without having to invest in camp gear, (which does not come cheap.)
