How is amanda knox case seen in USA?

hi! I'm a 24 yo italian girl and I'd like to know how is amanda knox's case seen in the states. I've been hearing several comment regarding italian justice system and that makes me really sad. Italin justice sistem has some problems (specially about the duration on the trials) but not regarding impartiality.

Italians aren't stupid mafia spaghetti eating people.

If you're interested in how the trial has been seen here in Italy, I'll be glade to tell you.

Answer on How is amanda knox case seen in USA?

I think people here in the U.S. are mixed. There's a poll right now on CNN.com asking "Do you agree with the Amanda Knox verdict?" and it's pretty much split 50/50. I have my ideas about the case based on what I've seen and heard from American and British news sources, but I would love to know what people in Italy think, so if you could tell us, that would be great. What I haven't heard yet, from any source, is some definitive evidence linking Amanda to this crime (besides the DNA evidence, which most American news sources claim is very questionable). I would really appreciate it if you could give us your opinions on the case and the evidence so we could get an Italian's perspective.

Thanks!

(how) can I use a WII bought in Italy in US?

I connected the wii bought in Italy to the new TV (bought in US). When I turn on the wii the screen is flickering and I can read and see the screen but it's flickering...

Answer on (how) can I use a WII bought in Italy in US?

I'm pretty sure you can use it with your tv, but your games HAVE to be from italy/europe. The Wii has something called " Region Locks ". If you buy a US wii you can only use US region games. I'm pretty sure there's nothing you can do about the region lock. So you're gonna have to import all your games from europe. Good luck, most games come out last in europe.

Is this coincidence or am I on to something?

With the recent uprisings going on in the Middle East, North Africa and parts of Europe, the U.S. citizens keep finding that their country is getting involved with more and more, in my opinion, unnecessary "policing" of the world. I believe that if you look at a map of where all the citizen uprising is happening, although not said by the U.S. media and im sure other U.N. countries media, we are serving a presents in these up risen countries. They countries im focused on are Egypt and Italy, undetermined Libya. Current/Debatable countries under U.S. control Iraq and Afghanistan. With moderate to good relations with Israel, Kuwait, Turkey and Russia. Id like another opinion on the matter, Is it just a coincidence or does it seem like the U.S. has the military surroundings for an all out war on Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and with help from China, for whom the U.S. seems to be trying to build a very strong friendship with, North Korea. The evidence builds up I just wish I had more space to explain what I believe each countries role would be for the U.S. and U.N.. Back to the question could we be building up to a World War III between the Allies and "Middle East", N.K.?

Answer on Is this coincidence or am I on to something?

I wish you had more space to explain too, since it's not clear WHAT the hell you're talking about...

Have you been disappointed with the quality of games in the world cup?

So far, there have been many draws and the games have been slow paced with little action. Favourites such as Italy, France and Brazil have all failed to live up to their hype allowing so called weaker teams to gain points where we wouldn't have expected. Also, do you think teams like Korea can take the opportunity and maybe get further in the competition than they were expected to do?

Answer on Have you been disappointed with the quality of games in the world cup?

No. I think we expected a lot from the big teams, Italy, Brazil, Portugal and so on but it is the little teams providing the entertainment like North Korea and New Zealand. The draws are a bit ridiculous but I've seen some exciting things. Every team has their weakness its just whether they sort them out before the last few games, a big issue for most teams if not getting enough men in the box to score.

Renaissance Essay? Helllp?

TOPIC: The period of the Renaissance saw great changes in Western Europe. The governing of people is an area where major change took place. Various powerful families ruled major cities because of their wealth. They were driven by the ideas of Machiavelli and Castiglione.

Discuss Renaissance society (nobility, townspeople and peasants). Who were the various rulers in Renaissance Italy and how did they govern? Finally, explain the views of Machiavelli and Castiglione and the influence that they had on Renaissance society.

Discuss how it changes from being 90% serfs to people living in cities.

Answer on Renaissance Essay? Helllp?

An interesting new theory about the Renaissance suggests that the Chinese actually helped get it in motion. Gavin Menzies makes these claims in his book, 1434. I don't know if he's right or not, but it's an interesting thought.

Davide, each state adds it own taxes to the basic cost of the pack of cigarettes, in addition to federal taxes. I no longer smoke, but I understand that in the state of New York, where I live, a pack of Marlboros now costs about six US dollars.

Why does Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi get away with molesting 16 year olds?

Ok i asked this question before but no one seemed to know the answer so i'll ask again.

Why does Italian prime minister Mr. Berlusconi get away with molesting 16 year old girls?

In America when Tiger Woods cheated on his wife he had to apologise to the american PUBLIC. Why is it that in Italy they dont blink an eye when the prime minister gets caught up in sex scandals involving 16 year old girls and prostitutes?

POLL: Do I actually have anything to worry about or am I just being over the top in thinking about it?

PEOPLE OF POLLS AND SURVEYS, I REQUIRE YOUR HELP AND WISDOM!!

First of all I know this is not a huge problem, but my relationship with my girlfriend is so important, it sort of seems massive to me. And apologies that it is a mammoth, but I would really appreciate some help.

My girlfriend and I have been together for over 2 and a half years. However over the last year she spent a lot of time away from home. Between November and April she got a job working at a ski resort in Italy. I was lucky enough to fly out and see her for 5 days once in that time. She then had the opportunity to travel around Asia for 2 months, and did that a fortnight after she returned from Italy. Then 3-4 weeks after she returned from Asia, she went and did some work in Ecuador for 2 months. 2 and a half weeks after this she moved to Cardiff whilst I now live in York. Before that, her feelings for me were always communicated very positively and openly, and I was very certain that was so because of how 'outwardly' it was communicated. Silly little things like always texting before she went to sleep.

It was during her time in Ecuador that she started having doubts about our relationship (so this was August of this year). I believe this was brought about because for 3 weeks whilst she was there, I worked in Uganda and we were unable to have any contact whatsoever. Communication has been a main foundation in our relationship even before we got together and has continued.

However I now worry so, so much about her feelings for me. I worry that they have changed negatively. she doesn't communicate things in the same way any more, if at all. For example, the texting before bed isn't as regular as before. It's stupid In know, and hence why I'm freaking out whether I should be worried or if I'm being an idiot! I know deep down she loves and that she misses me, but my girlfriend is very good at not letting stuff affect her whereas, although good in crisis if needed, I let stuff drag out. I am aware that I miss her more- this has been contributed by the fact she was the one who always went away and by the fact I have never doubted our relationship once. And in my mind that's ok, that happens in relationships. But in practice, I constantly ask why, which then casts more doubts in my mind. I also feel guilty because part of us going through the battle of agreeing to stay together was that I wouldn't let it affect me. It's as if I'm letting her down.

When we are together, it is amazing, but due to my commitments and simply the distance, we are limited to seeing each to about 2-3 times every 3 months.

I have spoken to her, but sometimes it seems like I'm just being too analytical about things and, in all honesty, because my girlfriend doesn't endure the same stuff I do, she doesn't quite understand.

Do I have anything to be worried about or should I mature a bit more, grow up and just get on with it?

Answer on POLL: Do I actually have anything to worry about or am I just being over the top in thinking about it?

I believe she is merely out of touch and has been away from you so long that she just needs to be with you again to rekindle the fire. She has had so much experience in all her travels that it was bound to change her and her habits. You seem charming and I don't think you have to worry.

It's so hard.?

My girlfriend is gone for Italy for two weeks. She just left today and I miss her so much already. I literally just left her 4 hours ago. Any tips on how to get through these two weeks. I have a pillow of hers, a shirt, and she wrote me a note that I am planning on reading every single night before I get to bed. Ohh and we will talk everyday but still it is so hard.

Answer on It's so hard.?

Well, you shouldn't be this attached anyways! The best way is to just go out and have fun. I mean this split might be good, because when she gets back you'll know how much she means to you. Make sure you don't constantly call/text her on her trip or else it'll just ruin her fun and she might just break up with you. Seriously try and pull yourself away from her a little bit because no one is worth being THAT obsessed over. She might just get sick of it. Good Luck!
