Hi! I live in Italy and a few months ago they were airing what I am assuming was the first season this show on Sky. I really liked it. Suddenly, it wasn't on anymore. Did they do any more seasons of this show in the States or was it cancelled? Or did Sky Italy only buy the first season (the penny pinchers!!).

Thats where it ended though, after that series. It was on Sky in Britain, both series. So I presume that Sky will show series 2 in Italy sometime.

Hi, I work for a PR/event agency based in Italy/Switzerland; we have been asked to organize an event for a pharmaceutical company at GASTRO 2009 (London Excel Trade Fair, November 2009). It is the first time we work in the UK and we are not familiar with the UK tax system.



We are going to hire local staff - more specifically 3 hostesses, 2 receptionist etc for five days.



Can somebody help us:



If I pay each person ? 100 per day, I suppose I will receive a payment receipt.



Will they then carry out all the tax compliance matters and pay taxes on the amount we have paid them? Or is it up to us?. Up to what percentage will the taxes amount, if the income before taxes is ? 100,00 per day?



We would like to be abiding by the rules, but it is not easy to find reliable information ....

Termini as an area is quite seedy (there have been some criminal incidents there, it does not have a good reputation amongst Romans) and the biggest reason why most stay there is because it's close to the station. I think there are more important reasons when deciding on an area of Central Rome.

Kayden Estates: has anyone else not been reimbursed the cost of inspection flights as promised by this company?

We have recently bought a property in Italy through this company. The agreement was that on receiving a deposit for the property Kayden Estates would reimburse the cost of the flights for 2 people. We paid the deposit in July 2008. We tried and tried to contact this Manchester based firm to get our flight costs back as agreed by email and were constantly fobbed off with excuses including 'the finance department are all off with flu'. Now they will not answer emails at all. It's quite fraudulent! We are still waiting. Others beware!

I heard in Southern Italy and Southern Spain they hate Black people and stuff and that is where the racist part of those countries mainly is. Say an Indian (India) person, lets assume the lighter skin type, went there, will he face just as much racism as a Black person would there?

Ouch, I don't hate blacks or Indians and I am southern Italian. So how are you going to say we all hate them? For what? In Italy there is not a lot of racism, it is blown way out of proportion thanks to some old Fifa Cup Games. But what some people have to see is how Americans view and think racism is different than Europeans views/thoughts. We don't have the same history or anything. In Italy if you sense any negativity towards some blacks, arabs, etc its because there is a lot of immigration from them and Italians are not used to it so they might get annoyed, but if you just show you are respectful and not looking for trouble you will get treated well. I'm sick and tired of seeing these kind of questions really, its dumb to generalize a whole group of people

For me it would be any or all of the countries bordering Iguazu Falls in South America. Since I live in Italy and have a home in Colorado in the US, I've already seen a lot of Europe, North America and the Caribbean, but have never been to South America although I've been close enough to see the coast of Venezuela. I particularly like waterfalls and Iguazu looks spectacular.

It's very German. You'll find it probably came out of the central regions. It's found in many Lutheran records, so there was clearly a population of it in the south near the Palatinate and Switzerland. I've also come across it in the northern Swiss provinces.



The most famous German I remember with the name was Ernst Rohme, who was a pain in the neck to Hitler. On the Night of the Long Knives, Hitler had Rohme assasinated.



BTW, where pronunciation is concerned, it's pronounced Rome in Germany, too.

Looking for Medieval Italian Armor?

Hi, I'm really getting into my history as well there is a renisance (did I spell that right?) fair coming next month. I looked into my history and heritage and found that I would be a Baron in Italy.



Low rank yes but its still kinda cool.



So for this fair I wanted to dress up in Armor that a Baron of Italy would wear. As well as possibly swords and things.

What is veneto italy like?

i live in us in texas i have studied my families background and that is where my italian blood line comes from. guerra is the last name and its pronounced different over there. well any how i have questions what the people in that area are like how do they look what is the average height. i stand at 5;10 5;11 but i have family members that are taller and shorter light skinned to pale white brown eyes to blue eyes mostly black or brown hair. but this is 100 years ago that my family immigrated i have the skin color and hair as ray barron in every body loves raymond show. if any one has info on veneto italy if they can share it with me. thanks

well you dont want to give the wrong impression with kissing-n-all...so 1st of all be careful there....2nd take each day with a grain of salt...if it's meant to be it will be...you cant really do a whole lot from italy to stop anything that might happen...if your going to italy before he goes to the new school...i would wait and see what happens there...if he's true while your gone then maybe he will be next year too....good luck & and have a good time while your in italy...remember ur still young and there will be more boys so dont ruin ur fun by worrying what he may be doing!!!
