All right, this has been bugging me for a while now. there was this anime i really liked as a kid, but i can't remember the name. it was another tournament anime (like pokemon, bey blade, duel masters, etc.) and it was where they use these mecha-like launchers to shoot out little balls/beads. if i remember right, the main character was very cat-like and i think he said he was raised by cats (or something like that). i also remember that he had a partner and they were trained by this big cat. i remember that he wouldn't train them unless they knocked down this statue of him by destroying the tail (which was it's main support) and then a dam broke and they stopped the flow by knocking the statue in the water's path. the last time and place i saw it was in italy (when my mom's job made us move there) and i was 7 or 8 (5 or 6 yrs ago). i really wanna watch it again.

It depends om WHEN you mean to visit Milan ... now (in July and August) it's almost empty which means that it's easier to get around (no crowds, no traffic) but that most shops are closed for summer vacation (not much shopping, I'm afraid).

Anyway, there are many places you can visit:

- Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio

- Castello Sforzesco

- Santa Maria delle Grazie

- Cenacolo di Leonardo da Vinci

.. plus many other churches and monuments that you will find on your way ...

If you want to go out of Milan, go to Como and visit its lake (it takes about 1 hour by car).

I am looking for a flight from Venice to Paris for two people (15 and 16 years old) and can't seem to find how much it costs and how long it takes.

Loll, the first one... Kabuto maybe thinks he's cool that way. And it's like his signature, so I wouldn't be doing him a favor by doing that... Gai and Lee too, it's like their signature. Ino as well (And it's not really kindness to tape her mouth... :P) So I'll go with the sandbox for Gaara, but Gaara smaller, not the Kazekage one...

Naruto, because no one is on his bad side (like, no one good). If I was on his bad side, I would be worse than all the "vilains" on that show.

I'll go with Sasuke, althought I think no one can say that they never liked Sasuke. He's just soo the stereotype of the cool hot guy that turned out to be "evil". I think Sasuke is overrated, particularly IN the show. All those girls after him...

Mmmm... Since the show is pretty much overrated (don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE Naruto fan, it's just that this whole thing has become way too much of an industry, targetting people way younger and the old fans of Naruto all look like... geeks) I don't think there's really anyone underrated in it. Tenten? Ok, maybe, but really, what do you want to say about her? She's your typically fighter, nothing more.

LaFeeFan, just for your info, old customs don't die that easy. There are millions of young people from the (ex-communist) countries who like to bath in nude. The over 60's have the decency to hide unless they have a better figure than some of the young ones.

I am planing to move to Spain in about 5 or 6 years (a long time away, but anyway).

I currently live in Canada and am going to go to university here to be an English teacher. My dream is to teach English in Spain or Italy. I like Spain more because I understand Spanish(not fluently, but good enough).

I was wondering what place is best to live in Spain. Money and career wise.

I'm only 16 now, and will do more research.

No, seriously, the best way to make a decision like that would be to do a lot of research on your own. I think the best thing to do on that count, would be to take your OWN study abroad trip. I suggest going for a full year. That will give you lots of time to explore the entire country, and hopefully settle on a city that you like and can live in. As for where to take that study abroad year, well, that will depend a great deal on the options open to you, and the sort of person you are.

Madrid is a terrific city, big, bustling, the capital, with all that that affords you. However, in my case, I didn't like the study options available to me, so that was just out. If you have options you like, well, more power to you.

Barcelona has a lot to offer. It's a very international city, but don't believe that when you are there, that you are truly IN SPAIN. Even the people there would rather be an independent country...they actually have their own language, Catalan, which most people prefer to use. Still, very large, very cosmopolitan, very - well, more modern than much of the rest of Spain, and a lot of influence from France.

Valencia, the next largest city...I don't really know much about, except that they recently opened a huge Science facility with museums and a huge aquarium, but as a place to live, I can't help you out much.

Seville, the next largest city, has a large University, and all the charm and romance that you think of when you think of Spain. It's one of the warmest places in the country, the home of flamenco, and a huge center for bullfighting. The Semana Santa, there, is the best in the world (largest, most flamboyant), and the fair is not to be missed (sometime in April, usually a week or two after Semana Santa ends.) When you are there, you will KNOW you are in Spain, and if you need any info on what to do, where to go, where to live, email me. It IS where I lived, and I was just back last summer. Still felt like home to me.

Salamanca - home of the oldest university in the country...LOTS of tradition on that count, but if you aren't actually able to study AT the University, I don't think it's that great a draw. It's pretty isolated, and it's a very small town. University town, with all that implies...lots of students running around, and lots of people to meet your own age, but other than that, I don't think it's the best place to LIVE for a long time.

Alicante has a huge tradition as a destination for students who want to learn Spanish, as do several other smaller towns. Oviedo and Santander in the North, as well.

Granada, also, one of the most romantic cities in the world, large University, and lots of students go there, too.

Wherever you go, you will always look back fondly on your time spent, and you will probably always think of that town as another home.

Whatever you decide, have a good time, and ?buena suerte!

I have a friend who was born in Italy (1971) and moved here with her parents when she was 2 years old. She married an Italian and moved to Italy some 17 years ago. She received a renewal notice for her card about 10 years ago and never completed it. Now she cannot find her card and dosent know her alien ID #. Nothing I read on USCIS.gov advises how to go about obtaining her ID #. If she had remained in the US her residency would not have changed. Before we got married my husband's tour in Germany was over and he had a choice of the states or Italy and he picked Italy to be as close as he could to me. His S1 told him he had to re-enlist to complete and 3 year tour in Italy so he did. He got to Italy in Feb. 09 and they told him it was only a 2 year tour and that he didn't have to re-enlist. He came back to Germany and we got married in April 09. We enrolled in the MACP and I talked to my chain of command to get released to go be with him because I have been stationed in Germany a little over a year. I am a 25B and my SGM and my NCO's told me that 25B was under strength. So I called my branch manager and they told me my unit was at 300% strength and they are getting more 25B's by Oct. 09. My husband is a 25L and they have a slot for me in his unit. I only have 1 year 10 months left in the Army so I am going to get automatically extended in Germany. I had no problem re-enlisting to be with my husband but it is not a guarantee to get there with him. If I do get to pick Italy they will most likely put me in an airborne unit because most of the units in Italy are airborne and that unit will be deploying by the time I get over there. I would like to get in his unit so we can be together and I even got a letter of acceptance from his CSM with the slot number. So he talked about coming back over here after a year in Italy but I don't know if he can do that because he did a COT from Germany to Italy. Can he COT from Italy back to Germany? We are just stuck no matter what we do. Help!

You can ask branch, but by going over your chain of commands heads, that will only piss them off. If you work for SETAF that's now in Germany I don't know why it would be such a problem for them to switch him there. But if you are under another unit in Germany I could understand it, such as the striker brigade, 7th Army, or whatever. You may not like the answer, but he looks like he has to re-enlist for Germany. In the meantime you can request a FSTE, or IPCOT for your current duty station, so when he does re-enlist you have a better chance of being at the same duty station. Will take time but it will eventually happen.I had my ipcot's all approved when I was stationed in Germany 1998-2003.

They now discussing an idea of increasing a size of the goal, or reducing number of players on the field to ten man instead of eleven, so the football can become attractive and entertaining sport again.

I have been thinking about this for a while. You should know that while I live in the United States, I know my country isnt very good, I have been playing since I was four, I love the game almost more than anything, and I have seen part of every game of this world cup, and I have taped all the games. Now, my father and I, big football (soccer to us, part of our ignorance, sorry) lovers, have spoken about this problem before. We brainstormed ideas, such as: increasing size of the goal, a new rule such as you must half at least two players within X amount of yard (meters, another part of our ignorance, sorry) of the halfline, but this would be very akward, and what would be the punishment if someone broke it? There have been enough yellow cards as it is. Then, I thought that maybe there could be a kind of "shot clock". In the United States, one of our big sports, basketball, used to produce low scoring, boring games, and they came out with the "shot clock" to speed up the tempo and increase the score. This was a few decades ago, and worked tremoundously well. However, how exactly would this work in football(soccer)? A two minute limit, or something? But again, what would be the punishment, and also how would they keep track of it? Then, he came up with another rule that originated in our basketball, the half-court violation, and this is the best one I have heard yet. In basketball, you have ten seconds to get the ball over the halfline, and once you get it over, you cannot go back. However, to make this rule work in football(soccer), we would scratch the time-limit, and just make it so that once you got it over the half-line, you couldn't bring it back. For the punishment, we decided it would be a free kick of some type, possibly from the corner-kick arc, although then every time there was a violation, there would be a slow-down as the teams moved half the field; that area needs some work, but still, we could figure it out. So now, teams are faced with three options: 1, keep the ball in their own end, which no team really wants to do, and, if pressured by the other team, the team with the ball will a) lose the ball and give up a counter-attack, or b) manage to break the defense, and get a numbers-up situation of their own; 2) put the ball forward and keep it there so A) when pressured, they cannot go backward as much, meaning i) the defense could steal it and get a counter-attack or ii) they beat the pressure and get a numbers-up situation; B) they go forward more, not wanting to risk losing it near the middle, and create more chances, which i) of course means they are more likely to score and ii) means the other team has a good chance for the quick counter-attack; and 3) they can bring it forward across the halfline, but if they bring it back, they give up a dangerous situation in front of their goal, such as A) a corner situation, B) a direct kick situation, or C) an indirect kick situation, but A,B, or C it is a scoring opportunity, no matter where it is from. Clearly, this beginning of an idea would need a lot of work, but couldnt it work? Of course, it could backfire, and just create a lot of midfield play with teams getting the ball, going forward 20 yards, not being able to go backward, and losing it, etc. But, on the other hand, with the goals-per-game average what it is, and with 7, yes, s-e-v-e-n 0-0 scores after 90 minutes in this cup, what is there to lose?

I mean this most instances; we have a diverse family of countries around us (Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany) and we also have the luxory of the English language, as well as classical cities like Rome, Athens, and 'newer' cities like Paris (new Paris being from post revolution) that other continents just don't have. We can jet off to Barcelona or Milan for a weekend if we feel like it (and have the money)

I think we're very lucky, we're very close to the markets too, even though we're on the periphery. This may not seem like much, but we have good connections with the States and Australia from emmigration to, so do you think we're in a pretty good position in the world?

Well, first of all the girl who told you that 90% of population in Italy speak English probably doesn't speak English herself. In Italy, everyone speaks Italian period. Sure, the younger people know a bit of English but not enough to hold a conversation. Put it this way, if you go to Italy you either need to know enough to get by or have an Italian translation book with you. It also depends what part of Italy you go to. I know this because my parents are Italian (immigrated to Canada) and I've been to Italy 14 times since I was born and am fluent in Italian. The book you bought is useful but you do need to try and speak it as well. If you have any friends that are Italian, practice with them or go into a store that's Italian owned and speak to them. Not sure how else to learn the language other then going to Italy for 4-5 months and just diving right in. I mean, if you're in Italy you have no choice but to learn. Sicily is a part of Italy. I live about an hour south of Verona - October is a good time to be here in Italy because the weather is generally still pretty good and there are fewer tourists. Depending on exactly when you're here in October, there are some interesting festivals. One of the best is the Eurochocolate Festival in Perugia. http://www.eurochocolate.com/it/home.htm… A part of the festival is set up in old 14th century buildings that are now underground. The wine festivals in Bardolino and Marino are very good. If you're in the area around Verona, there's a big rice festival in Isola della Scala for several weeks - great risotto. The duck festival near San Miniato in Toscana is interesting and features a costumed parade and duck races. There are also various pumpkin and chestnut festivals.

Of course, most of the usual tourist attractions will be up and running. The Biennale should be winding up about then in Venice.

The problem with Italy for a honeymoon is that there are lots of great places to see and you may not want to spend so much time on trains or in cars on your honeymoon. I recently went to Rome, Florence, Venice, Pisa, and Sienna. Rome was about what I expected and worth the visit, but not exactly a romantic city. I have to say I was expecting Venice to be the best spot and I was disappointed. It wasn't as romantic as Florence in my opion. Florence was an unexpected pleasant surprise. Pisa is worth seeing if you want to confirm that the tower leans, but there isn't much else there. Sienna would be better if they worn't refinishing the Duomo (the main thing to see there). If you go to one place, I would recommend Florence. If you go to two on a honeymoon, I guess I'd add Venice, but with some hesitation. If three, I'd include Rome. Sienna and Pisa can be day trips from Florence.

*************I know this is kind of long, but PLEASE PLEASE read it. I really need help, and have no one else to turn to!

I moved from the USA to Italy 2 months ago, to be with my boyfriend of 1 year, and now that I'm here, he's a totally different person!

Controlling, manipulative, he goes into a blind rage over the tiniest things (even things that he makes up in his mind! It makes him rage uncontrollably when I say anything he doesn't like (today I said that the dog next door kept me up last night and I'm exhausted: HUGE rage from him, yelling and screaming and throwing things and raising his hand at me, and I even made a special effort to say it in a 100% calm way...) - this also happens if I am not annoyed at all, but he just thinks I am!). I'm not such an annoying person, I don't think, and I've never had this problem with ANYONE in the past.. He refuses to see that this is his problem, and justifies it by blaming me, but I honestly and objectively do not think I've done anything to deserve this.. No one's perfect, but I don't complain much, and even if I do sometimes, the cause just doesn't justify the effect, if that makes sense.. When he rages he comes at me like he will hurt me, also (he has hit his ex-wife in the past, as well as his sister), so it's only a matter of time for me.. He has hit me "accidentally" once, kicked me once, and even held scissors up to me threateningly... He has even kept me up all night on purpose, in an attempt to make me lose my sanity, which will eventually work if I don't get out... (and yes, on this occasion he said that he will not let me sleep, and every time I move too much in the bed at night, he will do this same thing... It's truly sick, and I'm not exaggerating anything...)

Anyway.. I've lost contact with everyone in the US (no family anyway, and I'm really a quiet, keep-to-myself type so never had many friends anyway), so I'm on my own. I have about $2,000.00(USD) saved, but a chunk of that will go toward a plane ticket back.. After that, I really need to know what to do... I almost don't care where I go, just somewhere quiet and peaceful, with plenty of nature, and where I can get around with a bicycle or on foot (no car, and I don't want one anyway). I've even contemplated living out of a tent, but I'm not at all prepared equipment-wise (I gave everything that wouldn't fit in my suitcases away before moving here)... I just don't know what to do! I gave up everything I had (it wasn't much but it was something) to come here, and now I need to go, before this spirals even further out of control and I get hurt, or worse.

Please help. I could put more details but I don't want to make this so long that no one answers. I desperately need advice. Do I just go to a new town and find a cruddy job and build my life back together from there? Or do I try to do part of the looking here? I'm afraid my time is running out, and I know I need to figure this out before the outcome is no longer in my control. I have skills and learn just about any new thing very quickly, but I just want a quiet and peaceful, simple life... Away from all of this... What a nightmare I've gotten myself into.

Is this fair yes or no? A mother was ordered to pay child support in a divorce for her child. She wanted custody, but her ex husband got custody by the court. She has to make the following chooses.

A: Go back to Europe where she is from and never come back to the USA and never see her child again. She has a passport if the USA and Italy. Italian passport can never be taken away for not paying child support according to the US department of State.

I'm an italian student and I'm going to stay for an year in the USA studying in high school and improving my english skills like a senior student.

My problem is that I have no idea how americans got dressed everyday. I would like to have friends and be popular so I should have a nice look.

I heard that all the americans wear flip flops to go to school, I hate them and I think they are good just at the beach! And I'm not the kind of person who wears just a hoodie, jeans and converse.

I'm scared of looking strange wearing what i wear in Italy... where is considered cool. It's good to go to school with moccasins, blazers, leather jackets, doc martens, bowler hats, vintage dresses and strange tights?

Your style sounds cute, and people will probably admire you for it! I don't think you need to change anything. I hate that everyone wears jeans and tees in America (not everyone, but a lot of people)...it's boring! You'll stand out in a good way.

When I was in high school a couple of years ago I wore nice shirts (blouses, polos, dress shirts, sweaters, cardigans, blazers) paired with jeans (sometimes cords or chinos instead) and flats. I wanted to look nice, but still be casual and comfortable. I still dress this way when I go to class in college.

Another thing: IGNORE people answering that tell you to buy certain brands. Brands don't matter, style does. People only shop at Aeropostale and Abercrombie and other faux-preppy stores because of the brand name, but the quality is not worth the price. Actually, in general, ignore what brands are popular because American teenagers are notorious for purchasing low-quality clothes from stores that make a killing selling overpriced trendy stuff to people who don't know any better.

This will sound so lame and I'm embarrassed to post it on the web.

My mom didn't let me watch the Secret Life because it involved to much about sex, she said. Well I couldn't take it anymore so I started watching some of it online at ABC Family.com. And I stopped for a while because I felt guilty and deceitful, and now I convinced her I could by using the wonderful magic of, "**My friends mom's name** lets **my friend** and all of there brothers and sisters watch it! And I watched it over there Monday night and it was really good." So she gave in, and I was like great! so now I need to catch up online through the rest of season 1 to season 2.... I really have no life if that's what you're wondering or thinking. My fiancee and I are getting married next summer in Italy. Our plan is to do a weeklong event where we tour around and do some fun activities. We're keeping it very small (27 guests) for two main reasons:

1. We only want people at our wedding who we really care about (close friends & immediate family).

2. It costs a LOT to fly people from America to Italy and put them up for a week (duh).

Our current problem is the "plus 1" issue. A few of our friends are in relationships and we don't really know the significant other. For family members this isn't really a problem. The thing that sets this apart from other peoples' similar problems is when we add one person to the list, it's a big deal financially and we don't want an impersonal group (or anyone who annoys or pisses us off in any way, haha). We've been racking our brains about this and have come up with an idea: if you want to bring a date, you pay for the date (but you're covered by us).

We don't want to be rude or tacky, and we want this to be our time with people we love. Don't get me wrong, we want everyone to have an awesome time, but how can we have our wedding cake and eat it too?

So there were 3 kids who went over the border of Mexico and got shot!!! I'm planning on going on a mission trip, I have to fly to Chicago (by myself) and then from there go to the training camp, and then fly out with everyone. I'm still not sure where I am going to go, but she's really worried about me! I was thinking Nepal, or Ireland, or Italy. so even though I will not be going over the border she's still worried, any Idea on what I should do? I am an Australian citizen who would like to move to Europe. For this I will most likely need to find employment and I'd prefer not to be simply on a working holiday Visa. If it helps, I would be mainly looking for work in the IT industry (where I have qualifications and experience) or any work where the main requirement is fluency in English, but I'm open to any kind of small, yet secure, work.

What recruitment/employment agencies are there who, for a fee, will help me find work with employers who are willing to hire someone who is not a resident of their country? Ideally they would be able to provide assistance, to perhaps both myself and the employer, regarding work sponsorship Visas and other legal issues.

I have been applying for jobs simply from those advertised on websites but it seems it would be far more efficient to hire an agency who have the knowledge to find positions which may be available to foreigners. That and if they are able to assist with legal issues, employers might be more willing to provide sponsorship.

I want an italian passport and Citizenship but i can't find evidence to support my case. London is SWEEET! Most schools are very competitive.

Venice is okay except that its sinking. If you like water, go for it :)

Paris is another really good choice. It's a big city with diverse ppl so you are bound to find very many awesome and elite schools. Learn French if your planning to go there. Some ppl are very rude to you if you speak to them in English.

Rome is also a good choice because of the rich history. There are A LOT of tourists though but I'm sure it won't bother you too much.

I haven't been to Galacia but I was in Barcelona and the Spanish people are very kind and have a rich culture. I'm sure you'll be fine there.

I suggest you start by looking up the websites of the institutions you were considering. You will need to speak Italian. Expect that not only for daily life (shopping, etc.) you will have to speak Italian but that many of your classes will be in Italian.

Depending where you come from you might need a study visa. For this you should contact to closest Italian consulate or embassy.

I was surprised it was dirty with traces of vaselien and like tape traces above. the box was not looking like new either.

My clarinet prof in Masters study swore that when he visited a reed factory in France they let French clarinetist have forst pick . This depends a lot on where you're starting and where you want to end up.

Right now, the cheapest direct flight I know is from JFK to Rome on Meridiana (operated by Eurofly). There's a promotional fare which appears to be still available for 385 euro (approx $550) round trip taxes and fees included. However, there's a flight on the 22nd, but not on the 23rd of Feb 2008. see: https://www.meridiana.it/IG/pages/bookin…

USAirways has flights from JFK to Rome or Milan on the 23rd for $568 with a connection in Philadelphia. The same flight starting in Philadelphia is $666.

I fly between Italy and the US four or five times a year and often find it cheapest to fly through Amsterdam. There are Transavia flights between Amsterdam and several cities in Italy that can be very cheap. Last month, I had a round-trip fare from Bergamo for about 90 euro.

I went to San Juan Capistrano for Christmas last year and got a fare flying from Bologna to Amsterdam to Zurich and then to LAX that was $700 cheaper than just going to Zurich and taking the same direct flight to LAX. I took advantage of the opportunity and stayed a couple of nights in Amsterdam and still saved several hundred dollars. That worked because I booked this fairly late and there were none of the cheaper fares left for the direct flights though.

Probably I'm not too informed but as far as I know it's not necessary you translate yr degree certificate into Italian to apply for yr PhD studies in Italy.In the past years I know it was enough to show the original certificate (possibly in English) and sign a certification in which you attest that you are titled to attend the University's courses.

I guess you should contact direct the University to know if this is still valid; in any case if you really need for a translated certificate I feel it must be put into Italian by an official translator.

If not (provided it's written in a language I know) I could help you with the translation if you email it to me.
